    According to Wikipedia, 57% have some form of Hindi but only 10% have some form of English:

    It is still one of the largest English speaking populations because 10% of a billion is 100 million, but it looks like Hindi is spoken by 570 million?

    EDIT: Having said that, I'm not Indian and perhaps there are sensitivies or conventions over which languages are used for general information? Would be good to hear which language Indians prefer.
